As every year for several times in a row we organized Summer Silvester. This year it was held on 1 August and even though nature got in the way, we didn’t give up and made sure we had a great celebration.
The original plan was a beautiful picnic during the Pride celebrations in the middle of Letná Park. “Letní Silvestr na Letný” seemed too perfect. Perfect, that is, until the weather decided to strike with vicious rain.
We were still hopeful and hoping for some sunshine. Still, a picnic in the wet grass would probably be difficult. So we took advantage of our beautiful ESN Point. We prepared some snacks and the festivities could begin.
Everyone brought what they had caught along the way, Kamča even gifted us with treasures from her garden. Later on, there was also Braník and liqueur from BEST for helping at the event, which was enjoyed only by Míra.
The evening passed and midnight came. We quickly grabbed all the sparklers and glow bracelets and hit the streets, where Dima already had champagne ready to pop. Too bad we still had two minutes until midnight.
We ended the whole event with the song Thunder and later everyone went to bed with a resolution in their heads.
